AN2.3 IWRM Scenario Modelling
In most water resources planning problems there will be several alternative means by which a certain set of objectives can be met. Any particular combination of water demand projection, water resource availability assessment, and resource development plan would be termed a scenario. Normal practice in water resources planning is to consider and evaluate a range of scenarios that will eventually constitute a plan or the basis of a plan. The guideline document covers the considerations associated with formulating development scenarios and transalting these into modelling format with some discussion on the interpretation of results.
