AN2.6.2 Groundwater Monitoring at the Village Level
The guidance provided in this Advisory Note relates to groundwater monitoring at village level. It covers monitoring of water use and groundwater levels, the collection of water samples for water quality analysis, and recording of cropping. This information is aimed at strengthening management of groundwater at village level, and improving the reliability of assessments of groundwater resources and quality. It also offers suggestions for incentivising Water Use Association (WUA) members to enact the monitoring system.
