AN2.8 Economics for IWRM PLanning
This Advisory Note simple presents guidance for the use of economic assessment in the preparation of IWRM (Integrated Water Resource Management) Plans for small river basins in China. These have been formulated particularly in the light of the experience gained with the IWRM planning of future water resource development and management in the Shiyang River Basin (SRB). Economic assessment consists of a set of decision-making tools intended to select the best and most appropriate projects within the water sector and in comparison with other sectors.
