AN3.1.1 Agricultural Water Saving Techniques
This document is aiming at Water Management Stations and Divisions and Water Affairs Bureaus at county level. It introduces international and domestic water saving experiences, analyzes the crop water demand and agricultural water saving potential and develops locally appropriate agricultural water-saving techniques. This document is one of a series covering topics on sustainable water resources planning, allocation and management. It should be read in conjunction with the Thematic Paper TP3.1 which provides the overall context and approach for water saving in agriculture. Advisory Note 3.1/2 ‘Practical Techniques for On-Farm Water Saving’ in the same series, introduces practical water saving knowledge and techniques for the farmers.
