EG5.5 Willingness to Pay Survey for Beipiao Water Supply Company
This document describes a Willingness to Pay (WTP) survey conducted as part of a tariff review by Beipiao Water Supply Company, Chaoyang Municipality, Liaoning Province. The purpose of the WTP survey was to provide objective information for policy makers on the value placed on water and the water supply service by customers. The survey was implemented between 21 and 30 May 2007 as part of the Water Resources Demand Management Assistance Project (WRDMAP). Specific guidance for developing and implementing a WTP survey can be found in Advisory Note 5.5 - Willingness to Pay Surveys (Urban Water Supply). The guidance is aimed at the management of small to medium sized water supply companies to support their efforts to achieve improved standards of service.
