M3.3 Active Leakage Control Manual for Small to Medium WSCs
This Manual provides detailed guidance on three key components of an active leakage control programme: • Setting up hydraulically isolated areas of the distribution network • Techniques for leak detection, record keeping on leaks and repairs, and quality control measures • Determination of the level of activity required to bring leakage under control and maintain it at economic levels It does not replace the manufacturer’s technical manual, or training material provided by the equipment supplier, for any item of leak detection equipment. It is intended to support WSC leak detection teams with practical advice on running an active leakage control programme.
