A chartered civil engineer with over 29 years’ post-graduate experience specialising in the project management of water and wastewater project preparation and implementation including strategy and feasibility studies, many of which required comprehensive cost benefit analysis, design and contract procurement. This experience has been gained in the UK and overseas in China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar and Uganda.
He has also focused on business improvement for water utilities through the identification and rectification of operational and financial performance deficiencies in operation and maintenance, leakage control, demand management, metering, system rehabilitation and training. He is a co-author of CIRIA Report 162, ‘Water Mains: Guidance on Assessment and Inspection Techniques’.
He has been responsible for organising and administering a number of UK study tours for overseas clients including the delivery of lectures on water operational management topics.
