Personnel - Alison Stuck


Biog: Alison has over 25 years of experience in hydrology and water resources planning, in the UK and in 20 countries in Africa, Central Asia, Middle and Far East. On the Sub-Saharan Africa Hydrological Assessment Project co-ordinated assessments of the capacity of the hydrometric services of 32 countries in west and southern Africa. Ten years of experience of managing and working with Quality Assurance, including developing a QA system for the WRAP project in Uganda which covered all the hydrometric activities of the Water Resources Management Department. Experience in water resource assessments for water supply, irrigation, and hydropower development. Also in the evaluation of environmental impact of water projects, preparation of environmental reports and analyses for EIA, and assessments under EU directives, including acting as an expert witness. Training experience includes developing programmes and preparing manuals for field hydrometry, all aspects of data processing and quality control, and hydrological analysis for irrigation design.

Has managed several large projects and been responsible for the preparation of large and complex reports and guideline documents.

Has been involved in many projects where aspects of IWRM has been the main theme of the work.
